Job Description – Home Health Aide PRN

Place of Employment:

Client’s home, work outside of the client’s home and other work sites as required by LoveBird HQ management.

Accountable to LoveBird HQ’s Director, Administrator, Manager.

Job Summary:

The Home Health Aide PRN takes care of client who may be afflicted with an illness and/or disability; clients may also be the elderly who may need care – but in all these cases the clients are in their homes. Will beworkonanon-call basis; fill in for staff on leave and will work on a client as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Help patients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasks. ∙ Records patient information by making entries in the patient journal and notifying the nursing supervisor of changing or unusual conditions.
• Perform basic health care services for patients including checking vital signs or administering prescription medication.
• Enables patients to stay in their homes by monitoring and recording patient condition, providing support and personal services, and teaching families.
• Help with general light housekeeping.
• Make transportation arrangements as needed.
• Work with a nurse, personal care aide, a CNA, nurse aide, nursing assistant, and other caregivers and in-home care professionals.
• Observe and report on patient condition.
• Keep up with in-service training.

Qualifications:

●    High school diploma.

●    Reliable transportation.

●    Must be able to pass the criminal background check.

●    Must be able to provide references.

●    Ability to work with little supervision.

●    Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

●    Have good personal hygiene.

●    Able to do lighthouse keeping.

●    Emotional Control.
